Since 1995, the Consortium of the Vigo Free Trade Zone, through its Business Information Service, ARDÁN, has been preparing the indicators of Good Business Practices. This line of work is developed under the protection of the ARDÁN Chair of the University of Vigo and aims to identify and value business excellence in Galicia. Each of the ARDÁN indicators are methodologically supported by expert research groups in the field of competitiveness and business management. Each of the indicators measures the performance of companies in factors related to the ability to compete. The ARDÁN Indicator is obtained by those companies that exceed the restrictive values required in the ratios or in the synthetic indices used to measure their business performance. These companies demonstrate differential skills in generating competitive advantages, which makes them benchmarks in the Galician economy.
